Our Commitment to Privacy
Expiro is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your personal documents and data should remain yours and yours alone. That's why Expiro processes and stores all data locally on your device.
Data Collection
We do not collect any personal data. Expiro operates entirely on your device without requiring an account, login, or any personal information.
Specifically, we do NOT collect:
- Your name, email, or contact information
- Photos or images of your documents
- Document contents, names, or expiration dates
- Location data
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- Device identifiers
Data Storage
All data you enter into Expiro—including document images, names, and expiration dates—is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure data storage frameworks. This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not uploaded to any cloud service
- Is not accessible to us or any third party
- Is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
Document Scanning & OCR
When you scan a document, Expiro uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to detect and extract text. This processing happens entirely on your device—no images or text are sent to external servers.
Notifications
Expiro uses Apple's local notification system to remind you about upcoming expirations. These notifications are scheduled locally on your device and do not involve any external servers.
Third-Party Services
Expiro does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service we use is Apple's App Store for processing purchases, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
In-App Purchases
Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs how your purchase data is handled.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it:
- Delete individual documents anytime within the app
- Delete all app data by uninstalling Expiro
- Your data is automatically removed if you uninstall the app
Children's Privacy
Expiro does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app is intended for general audiences who need to track document expirations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Expiro after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
